DOE Boys Raise Money for Teen AIDS Task Force
On March 7th and 8th 2012, the Brothers of Delta Omega Epsilon Fraternity, Inc. coordinated a fundraiser in order to help raise money for an organization called Teen Aids Task Force (TATF). TATF is a local organization that works with youth and young adults ages 9-22. TATF provides comprehensive HIV/STD prevention education, giving youth and young adults lifelong skills needed to practice alternatives to risky behaviors, while promoting positive social development.
The Brothers worked a table in the Miller Campus Center at SUNY Canton, where they sold ribbons for a dollar, that were later hung up on a bulletin board on Campus. Every 8th person to buy a ribbon received a prize donated from a local business (along with a celebration from all of the Brothers)! Prizes, such as a free pizza from Pizza Hut, a free facial donated from the Glow Spa, a Bluetooth Head Set from The Computer Guys, and many more were given out to students who donated to the cause. The fundraiser was successful and over $150 was raised for TATF.
